Starlings and Exhaust vents

The European Starling is a non native invasive species fro Europe that loves nesting in cavities in its natural habitat. Bathroom exhaust and dryer vents make the perfect home for these birds, unfortunately they can cause some serious problems. They will start in the early spring by filling the exhaust vents with nest material so they can raise three to four broods of young throughout the summer in North Carolina. This nest material can be a serious fire hazard especially in dryer vents. They also carry parasitic bird mites that can invade your home and bite people as well. Call us today to have your vents cleaned and made "bird proof"!
